Chef Mohan De Silva

Throughout his professional career Mohan has always dreamed of opening his own bakery. Chef De Silva has over 30 years of experience as a pastry chef. He has been the Executive Pastry Chef of the New York Marriott Marquis, Philadelphia Marriott, and Wardman Park Marriott in Washington DC.

Mohan has won a total of 11 medals in the International Culinary Olympics since 1992 and countless other awards in different pastry competitions. He has created desserts for Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, in addition to numerous other dignitaries and celebrities. He has been featured on the Food Network and the Fox Morning News. Mohan was recognized as one of the best pastry chefs in America by the James Beard Foundation.

Throughout his career, Chef De Silva has gained the respect of his peers within the pastry and hotel industry. He was hand picked by hotel magnate J.W. Marriott to create his grandson's wedding cake.
